There are two parts to the State Pension: the basic State Pension and Additional State Pension. These are due to be replaced by the new flat rate State Pension in April 2016.
This is the age you can claim your State Pension.
The State Pension age for women retiring from November 2018 is currently 65 and will increase to age 66 for both men and women retiring from October 2020.
The UK Government plans to further increase State Pension ages from 66 to 67 and to introduce automatic reviews of State Pension age every five years with the first review planned to take place in 2017.
